Projects
After creating costumes based on some of my favorite characters, I studied under my grandmother to learn how to sew and mend garments. My first full garment was made during covid (2020), a full scale italian rennaisance inspired dress. After learning a variety of essential techniques thorughout the summer, I started creating more and more garments that were my own thoughts.

About
On the afternoon of November 21, 1902 on Lake Superior, the SS Bannockburn disappeared on the lake. A snowy day, the ship was last seen around noon that day, but soon disappeared later. The ship has never been found, and soon enough the ship got the nicknamed 'The Flying Dutchman of the Great Lakes'. Passerbys would describe seeing ghosts and skeletons manning the ship deep in the fog as they navigated the lake, then disappearing.

Being someone with family from northern Minnesota, the hauntings of the lake have been a huge part of my childhood. So when my friends and I decided to a cryptid/folklore photoshoot, I knew what to do.

The outfit is completely upcycled/sew by myself. Makeup is done by me.

Ellie (2) did Mothman, and upcycled the outfit. Grace (3) did Bigfoot, and also upcycled their outfit.

About

After the Barbie movie, October 2023 I set out to recreate a classic Barbie dress from the 80s: Perfume Pretty Barbie. The outfit was extremely difficult to make, not only from the structure of the dress and accessories, but also how it needed to sit on my body. The bow needed to be large, but still hold it's shape. The dress needed to only be tied by two straps, but not fall off my body. It needed to fit like a dress would be made for a doll, but also be functional for events. Though I would have changed some stiches and material, the final product is one of my favorite ambitious projects of recent years.

About
Joan of Arc is one of my favorite historical figures, especially when I was a little girl. Given time during the covid lockdown to practice new skills, I took up learning how to work with EVA foam. This entire suit of armor is made of foam, hand dremelled, and worn by myself for Halloween.

Queen for the Day
Being someone obessed with gowns, I took the earlier part of the covid lockdown to work on my sewing skills under the tutelage of my Grandma again. Working in tandem with her, I made the entire outfit from scratch, using my late Debbie's fabric.
